Purple Ranch Lavender Farm at the Aspasians Arts and Crafts Fair

ROYSE CITY, TX – The Purple Ranch Lavender Farm is coming back to the Rockwall Aspasians Arts and Crafts Fair on April 25, 2009 in Rockwall, Texas.  The Festival has been held each April and September for over 30 years and this year has promised to be another successful year.  Purple Ranch Lavender Farm is excited to be part of this event offering custom gift boxes, soaps, lotions, candles, and much more just in time for Mother’s Day.  The event is one day only on Saturday from 9:00am – 5:00pm on the Courthouse Square.

The Aspasians consist of over 40 women who volunteer their time and energy in order to help the community through high school scholarships for needy students and holiday food baskets for needy families during Thanksgiving and Christmas.  For more information go to http://www.aspasians.com.

Purple Ranch has been featured at many events in and around Texas and recently showcased at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas.  Located in Royse City, Texas, Purple Ranch is now thriving where just a few years ago, June Hand, owner, was told that the dark, Texas clay would not sustain growth. After losing 75% of her crop the first year due to torrential rains, causing a wide-spread fungus and destroying a large portion of her crop, she continued to chase the dream.  Hand said, “I have always dreamed of owning and running my own business and with a life-long interest in plants and flowers, this is definitely a dream come true.”

After harvesting the lavender, the Hand Family creates hand-made products.  “Almost everything that we sell is made from the lavender grown on the farm.”  At least once a month, they sell their lavender products at craft fairs, business expos, local chamber events, or festivals in and around Texas.

I know you are coming to the aspasians fair on the 24th but this web site is for 2009 and the date is incorrect. I will visit you there because I would like to plan an event at the ranch. I sent an earlier email before I read this web site.
