Purple Ranch Lavender Farm at the 40th Annual Gingerbread Trail in Waxahachie, Texas

ROYSE CITY, TX – The Purple Ranch Lavender Farm is coming to the 40th Annual Gingerbread Trail and Arts and Crafts Festival on June 7th and 8th in Waxahachie, Texas. This year’s event will include five historic homes located in downtown Waxahachie plus food and arts and crafts in
The Farm is thriving where just a few years ago, June Hand, owner, was told that the dark, Texas clay would not sustain growth. After losing 75% of her crop the first year due to torrential rains, causing a wide-spread fungus and destroying a large portion of her crop, she continued to chase the dream. Hand said, “I have always dreamed of owning and running my own business and with a life-long interest in plants and flowers, this is definitely a dream come true.”
After harvesting the lavender, the Hand Family creates hand-made products. “Almost everything that we sell is made from the lavender grown on the farm.” At least once a month, they sell their lavender products at craft fairs, business expos, local chamber events, or festivals in and around Texas.
